This job involved fault-finding on a Samsung system where the indoor unit was running but heat output had failed. The solution required practical diagnostics, replacement of the correct sensor loom, and a clean recommission to get the system operating normally again.
The issue

What we found and how we fixed it
1. Visual inspection and fault-finding
We carried out an on-site inspection of the system. The photos show a ceiling cassette-style indoor unit and a Samsung wall controller with a clear set point display, but no faults flagged. This pointed to a deeper issue that would not necessarily trigger an error code.
2. Outdoor probe loom replacement
Following checks at the outdoor unit, we identified the outdoor probe loom as the likely cause. A replacement loom was ordered and fitted to the Samsung condenser unit, as shown in the external equipment photo, restoring correct temperature sensing and enabling heating to operate as expected.
3. Testing and handover
Once fitted, we tested the system operation to confirm it was heating properly again and left it running normally. This was completed promptly so the site could rely on the system for comfort through colder conditions.
Why this matters
Many people still think of air conditioning as cooling only, but modern systems are highly effective for heating too. When faults occur without error codes, structured troubleshooting is essential to avoid unnecessary downtime and repeat call-outs.
