Project Overview
In this large walk in chiller cold storage facility the customer had three damaged wall panels that needed replacing on the existing partitioning wall and wanted an additional 30ms of wall building inside their 14m high cold store to partition off an area.
Scope of works
- Safely remove existing damaged wall panels
- Supply and fit new walls to replace damaged panels
- Supply and fit additional 30m+ of wall panels to extend partition wall
- Cut relevant openings in panels to allow for personnel doors and forklift access doors
- Supply and fit personnel doors
- Seal all panel joints with food safe silicone
- Supply and fit low level steel wall protection angle
The Challenge
The cold store whilst not in full operation, did have staff working on site. All existing services where to remain in place in the form of sprinkler heads, lights, cameras & refrigeration equipment.
The Solution
A well cordoned off work area and constant communication with other people on site lead to a safe working environment for all. Our well trained staff used their experience to expertly drive machinery and panels into place whilst always having a banksman when carrying out any panels moves. This method ensured no existing services where damaged whilst work was carried out.
